Meet your Blue Binder Coach, Kris Cavanaugh, LPC, CADCI
Hello, my name is Kris Cavanaugh and I am one of the Blue Binder Project Coaches. I am an Oregon Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I have been working in the behavioral health field for over 20 years. My hope is to help provide you some direction as you work through this difficult time. I like to ‘meet people where they are’ in life and move forward from there. People often acknowledge they knew there were changes to be made in their life but just hadn’t found the motivation to do so. Sometimes it takes a challenging moment to find that motivation and to create an opportunity for change. My goal is to help foster that change.
Education and Professional Affiliations BA in Psychology, Virginia Commonwealth University, 1990 Masters of Counseling, Portland State University, 2004 Oregon Licensed Professional Counselor, C2116 Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, Oregon National Board of Certified Counselors |
On a personal note:
I grew up just outside of Washington DC and moved to Portland after college. I am married and have three kids. We spend a lot of time outside playing soccer, baseball, camping or searching for sun and water to play in. We have a 105 year old house that takes up a lot of our time. When I do find a spare minute I like reading or binge listening to a good podcast.
